What information do you need before my rabbit's stay?

The first step is completing our boarding questionnaire so we can review your requested dates, confirm availability, and learn more about your rabbit's individual needs. The questionnaire includes open-ended questions about your rabbit's daily routine and any special care instructions. The more we know, the better we can make your rabbit's stay feel like home! You can expect an emailed response within 24 hours.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend completing our boarding questionnaire at least 72 hours before your requested drop-off date. Because we have a limited number of spacious boarding accommodations, we encourage booking as early as possible - especially around holidays. While we're often able to accommodate short-notice requests, availability cannot be guaranteed.

To provide the most dependable service possible, we do not accept reservations more than three months in advance. Since we're a small family business that also enjoys traveling and exploring the world ourselves, our schedules can change. This policy helps ensure we never have to disappoint clients by canceling reservations that were booked too far in advance!

Question 3

Can my rabbits stay together?

Accepted Answer

Rabbits that are already bonded and share the same living space at home will stay together in the same 4' × 4' enclosure during their visit. If your rabbits live separately at home or are not bonded, please let us know when booking so we can prepare individual accommodations for their safety and comfort.

Question 4

Can you administer medication?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We can administer most medications during your rabbit's stay, including oral medications as well as certain topical treatments, eye drops, ear medications, and rinses, depending on your rabbit's needs. Oral medications are the most common and are available for an additional $5 per day (more complex care may incur an additional fee). Please provide all medications, clear written instructions, and any special handling information at drop-off.

Does my bunny need to be litter box trained?

Accepted Answer

Ideally, yes. Rabbits that are litter box trained generally adjust more easily to boarding and help us maintain a clean, comfortable environment for all guests and our enclosures. Of course, the occasional accident is completely normal, and we're always prepared with pee pads and extra cleaning supplies. However, if your bunny is not litter box trained or has a history of frequent accidents, please let us know when completing your boarding questionnaire. Depending on the situation, we may recommend a smaller enclosure with additional protective flooring to help keep your bunny comfortable while preserving our boarding accommodations.

Question 6

Are rabbits required to be vaccinated?

Accepted Answer

While the RHDV2 vaccine is not required by us, we highly recommend it to help protect your rabbit from this serious disease. We also encourage rabbits to be spayed or neutered if they are of appropriate age.

Question 7

Will my rabbit interact with other rabbits?

Accepted Answer

No. Your rabbit will never have physical contact with unfamiliar rabbits during their stay. Rabbits are highly territorial, and introducing unfamiliar rabbits can lead to stress, fighting, and the spread of illness or parasites. Each rabbit (or bonded pair) enjoys their own private enclosure throughout their visit.

Question 8

Why don't boarded rabbits free roam?

Accepted Answer

While many rabbits enjoy free-roaming at home, we intentionally provide each boarding guest with their own private enclosure. Shared play areas cannot be completely disinfected between every rabbit, increasing the risk of illness, parasites, and injury. Our boarding setup prioritizes your rabbit's health and safety while still providing plenty of room to relax, play, and receive attention!

When is payment due?

First-time boarding guests are required to pay at the time of initial drop-off. Once we've had the opportunity to build a relationship with you and your bunny, returning customers are welcome to pay at pickup at the conclusion of their rabbit's stay. 
While never expected, tips are always appreciated if you feel we've exceeded your expectations. Any gratuities go directly toward purchasing new bunny toys, enrichment items, and continually improving our boarding space for all of our furry guests!
