Where to Buy the Best Rabbit Hay Near Seattle

One of the questions I get asked all the time is, "Where do you buy your hay?"

Whenever possible, I recommend purchasing hay from a local feed store rather than a pet store. Feed stores typically have fresher hay, larger quantities, and much better pricing. Fresh hay should smell sweet, look green, and have very little dust.

If you're local to the Seattle area, here are my favorite places to shop:

Hayes Feed & Country Store

If you're in Burien, Normandy Park, Des Moines, West Seattle, White Center, or the surrounding areas, Hayes Feed & Country Store is one of my favorite places to purchase Timothy hay.

They receive fresh hay regularly and can often sell it in a variety of bag sizes, making it a great option whether you have one rabbit or several.

Coastal Farm & Ranch

If you have multiple rabbits, I highly recommend checking out Coastal Farm & Ranch.

They often carry compressed bales and larger quantities of Timothy hay that are significantly more affordable than buying small bags from a pet store. If your rabbits go through a lot of hay, buying in bulk can save quite a bit of money over time.

Just be sure you have a cool, dry place to store it.

Ward Rugh

If you're looking for locally grown Washington hay, I highly recommend Ward Rugh.

Their Timothy hay is grown in Ellensburg and is known for being fresh, green, and excellent quality. If you can find it locally, it's definitely worth trying. (You can order online, too!)

If shopping online is easier, there are two brands I consistently recommend.
